Famine #73: Stuck with You

It's Weekend Writing Warriors time again, and I'm still featuring snippets from Famine. Here's another excerpt from it. This precedes last week's post by a few chapters. ===============

Famine by Monica Pierce

Matilde crossed her arms and glared at the night passing beyond the wide observation windows. “I ain’t getting away, am I? I’m stuck with you.”

“I’m not your warden.” Bartholomew rested his forearms upon his knees and interlaced his fingers. “But I can’t help you if you run away from me.”

She went to a window. “I think the monsters want you, not me.”

REVIEW COPIES: If you're interested in receiving an ebook (epub, mobi, or PDF) in exchange for an honest review of Famine, please email me at monicaenderlepierce@gmail.com. Please read the book description and note that this is a dark, historical fantasy. It contains graphic violence, strong language, and sexual content and is intended for mature readers. Thanks!

And don't forget to check out all the other WeWriWa snippets this week. Many great writers to be discovered and revisited.
